Toad in the Hole

Easy to make, and delicious to eat:
Toad in the Hole is a classic British Dish whose prime ingredients are just sausages cooked in Yorkshire Pudding batter… a perfect pairing!! Served best with mash (or even sweet potato mash) and veg, with a liberal pouring of gravy!

Method

Add a drizzle of olive oil to the base of each of the roasters

Place two sausages into each roaster and place in the oven for 15-20mins at 390F

Meanwhile, in a bowl add the flour, along with a pinch of salt and the eggs

And whisk together, slowly adding milk throughout

Once all the milk is mixed in, add the sage a whisk

With the roasters removed from the oven, pour the mixture evenly over each

Place the roaster back into the oven at 390F for a further 15-20mins, until the batter has risen and become golden
